When in the Powisle District, Get a breath of fresh air at the University of Warsaw Library Garden. This verdant oasis with its pink metallic structure is home to one of Europe’s most beautiful hanging gardens.
Free to enter, this secret, romantic location is the perfect spot for an enchanted break above Warsaw. Meander between shrubs teeming with yellow and orange blooms in the garden’s golden section, willows in the silver section, and plum-tinted compositions in the crimson section.

Mermaid Statues
The Powisle District has 2 mermaid statues on display. The first one is located close to the Stanisława Markiewicz Viaduct. A whimsical Manga-inspired mermaid graces the viaduct, capturing the imagination of passersby. Pose for photos with this unique fusion of art and folklore.
The second statue is located near the Świętokrzyski Bridge. It honors poetess Krystyna Krahelska, who tragically lost her life during the ’44 Warsaw Uprising. This mermaid statue stands as a poignant reminder of courage and sacrifice.
